Кафедра физической культуры и спорта образована в сентябре 1981 года.

Основной целью работы кафедры является формирование физической культуры личности и способности направленного использования разнообразных средств физической культуры, спорта и туризма для сохранения и укрепления здоровья, психофизической подготовки и самоподготовки к будущей жизни и профессиональной деятельности.

Учебная работа кафедры

«Физическая культура и спорт» – обязательная дисциплина для всех специальностей и направлений подготовки университета. Занятия проводятся в трех учебных отделениях (основном, подготовительном и специальном).

На практических занятиях обучающиеся основного и подготовительного отделений занимаются избранным видом спорта: волейбол, мини-футбол, классическая аэробика, атлетическая гимнастика.

Студенты, по результатам медицинского осмотра, отнесенные к специальной медицинской группе занимаются настольным теннисом, шахматами, шашками, пулевой стрельбой.

События, мероприятия кафедры

Воспитательная работа проводится всеми преподавателями во время учебно-тренировочных занятий, спортивных соревнований различного ранга от университетских до областных и товарищеских встреч по различным видам спорта, спортивных праздников, «Дней Здоровья» (со студентами 1-4 курсов), туристских походов. Коллективом кафедры регулярно проводятся беседы о здоровом образе жизни в группах, где они ведут занятия.

Универсальный игровой зал и помещения, которые используются под спортивную базу, оборудованы полностью и отвечают всем требованиям для нормального проведения учебного процесса и спортивно-массовых мероприятий, проводимых по планам университета. Кроме университетских соревнований между факультетами, проводятся городские и областные по мини-футболу, волейболу, баскетболу, настольному теннису и другим видам спорта.

Среди факультетов соревнования проводятся по различным видам спорта на протяжении всего учебного года. Игры проходят по круговой системе и в подгруппах. По окончании соревнований в торжественной обстановке проводится награждение победителей.

Студенты университета принимают активное участие в городских физкультурно-оздоровительных праздниках: «Жизнь в движении», «В здоровом теле – здоровый дух!», «Кросс Нации», «Лыжня России» и т.д.

The Department of Physical Culture and Sport

The Department of Physical Culture was established in September, 1981.

The Department aims its work at the development of students’ physical culture and ability to use different methods of physical culture, sports and tourism for health protection and improvement, psycho-physical preparation for future life and professional ctivity.

Educational Work of the Department

«Physical culture and sport» – is a core discipline for all specialties and areas of training of the University.

Classes are held in three training departments (main, preparatory and special).

In practical classes students of main and preparatory departments are engaged in a selected type of sport: basketball, volleyball, mini-football, and classical aerobics, step aerobics, athletic gymnastics, combat sports.

Students of a special medical group go in for table tennis, chess, checkers and gun shooting.

Events, Activities of the Department

Educational work is carried out by all teachers of the Department during training classes, sport competitions of university and regional levels, friendly matches in various sports competitions, sports events, «Health Days» (with first and fourth year students), camping trips. The teaching staff of the Department holds regularly discussions on the promotion of a healthy lifestyle among students.

Universal playing hall and facilities used under sports base are fully equipped and meet all the requirements for normal carrying out of educational process and sports events conducted in accordance with the University plan. City and regional competitions on mini-football, volleyball, basketball, table tennis and other sports are held in addition to university competitions between faculties.

Sports competitions among the faculties are held throughout the academic year. The games are held in subgroups on curricula system. A solemn ceremony of awarding the winners is conducted at the end of the competition.

Students of the University take an active part in such city recreational sports festivals as: “Life in Motion”, “A healthy mind in a healthy body!”, “Cross-country Race of Nations”, “Ski Track of Russia,” etc
